I am an architect, lecturer and urban designer. I read my post professional masters at the Berlage Centre for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.

I exhibited at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2016 and at the Bi-City Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism in Shenzhen in 2015. I am the runner-up to the Dutch Young Architect Prize ('Jonge Architecten Prijs 2015').

I currently lecture at my alma mater — the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of the Witwatersrand where, among many other responsibilities, I lead the third year design studio — and I run a design practice specialising in architectural and urban design work, website design (UX and graphics) and branding and co-ordinating special events. It complements the experience I have gained as a professional architect who's worked in South Africa, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Norway.

A real renovation, taken apart the way its architect drew it: House in Helderkruin, hung in five layers between the site and the weather. It rests closed until you reach it.

Proportions are read off the architect's sheet by eye; nothing here carries a dimension, because none was taken.

A website has no physical extent. Rather than invent one to keep the row tidy, it sits off the axis.

Garment to district · ×8 000 · four orders of magnitude From a printed t-shirt at half a metre to a Rotterdam district four kilometres across is a factor of 8 000 — 3.9 orders of magnitude, so call it four. The axis is drawn over 5 decades and the work reaches into all 5 of them. The shaded band is the practice's centre of gravity: 7 projects between 6 m and 22 m, every one of them architecture, inside 11% of the axis. Extents are the approximate longest dimension of each project, read off its own drawings and photographs; they are estimates, not survey.
